6 girls going to a remote island what antics could we possibly get up to?!
The islands are truly beautiful just off the bottom of Cambodia.
Unfortunately during our planning there was a British backpacker who had gone missing on the main island of Koh Rong and it felt wrong to go there to simply relax whilst an important search was ongoing.
We got the bus from Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville which without swearing I can only describe as a place everyone advises you to not miss the ferry from and have to spend a night there.
Luckily we made the ferry and managed to steal some cuddles from one very cute puppy too!

we arrived by boat just as the sun was setting and I could already tell how beautiful the views would be the next morning!

We stayed a Bodega a new party hostel which has its own private beach, therefore in a very remote location and can only be accessed by boat. This hostel had a pool which led straight onto the beach.

We got a free shuttle boat round to another beach to have a change of scenery. Someone told us it was a 10 minute walk from where the boat drops you… this turned into about a 40 minute walk through a bit of jungle and severe heat with a bunch of complaining girls. Lazy Beach was stunning! I’m definitely more of a beach girl than a city girl.

The hostel also offered free paddle boards which up until this point I thought I was a professional.

The beach in-front of our hostel was so relaxing, which obviously calls for some posing pictures!

The hostel also played drinking games most evenings which were so entertaining.

We also just happened to be on this remote island for halloween. Granted halloween isnt largely celebrated in Cambodia, however party hostels love an excuse to have a theme.
On a remote location in the middle of nowhere what do 6 girls possibly dress up as? NINJA’S. numb-chucks made of cardboard and bin bags.

However add alcohol and halloween together and it can only result in a fully blown pool party at 2am.

I cant even begin to express the amount of fun I had on this island with this amazing group of girls! I was truly content and in my element. Luckily we got someone to become our personal photographer to capture some real girl band pictures..

…and finally the most posing picture ever to grace my blog but somehow resembles just how happy I was

Koh Rong was beautiful and well worth the 4 nights and two hangovers for the hundreds of laughs along the way – I also even half managed to catch a tan!
