Canggu is definitely the place in bali if you want a beach by day and a lot of party bars by evening.
I stayed in a hostel called My-Ex and met back up with Annie. We spent 3 nights here exploring the beach and chasing the sunset. Although I didn’t find the beach or the food as nice as Uluwatu it was still worth visiting.

We visited Tanah Lot Temple for sunset. Again I wasn’t blown away with this (maybe due to the fact at this point I’ve seen 100 temples) but it was a way to spend an evening. This temple is surrounded by the sea so sometimes cannot be accessed. Its also a practising temple so you cannot enter as a tourist.

Of course the highlight of this evening for me was the amazing Mango smoothie I had. I’ve developed an insane craving for them since travelling.

We met another great bunch of girls at this hostel and on the last day of our stay we found a pool party with free drinks for 2 hours, this definitely appeals to travellers quickly running out of money so off we went to Tropicola.

Turns out I captured the most beautiful sunset from this bar too, I do love how most bars are situated on the beachfront!

We went back to the hostel slightly tipsy for free dinner and then went to check out some of the quirkier bars in Canggu.
One of them is a normal mini-mart in which you have to walk through a large fridge in order to get into the bar. The next one we went to Called Pretty Poison had an entire freestyle skateboarding ramp inside, which you could sit around and watch whilst having a drink.
We then made our way to Sand Bar right on the beach to end the night with a boogie.
There was more than a few sore heads the next morning especially since we then had to check out and move to Ubud.
